Seven Steps to Organizational Knowledge

The Bridge Research Process is our signature 7-step process that is designed to help organizations succeed in an evidence-based society—moving from data, to information, and to an established knowledge-based system.

• Discovery Session:

  During the Discovery Session, you’ll gain an appreciation for the information and knowledge gaps that may exist within your organization. In most organization, these gaps are an enormous concern. However, it should not be seen as a problem, but as an opportunity to innovate and grow.

• Research Question:

  After you’ve taken the bold step to assess how the lack of data and/or information is impacting the knowledge base within your organization, we’ll define what information and knowledge you hope to discover and pose a research question(s). This will also allow us to formulate a research hypothesis.

• Research and Evaluation:

  Conducting research and evaluation is a tedious but rewarding process if conducted rigorously. We’ll use our many years of experience in this area to provide answer(s) to the research question(s) in hopes of closing or eliminating the knowledge gap within your organization.

• The Study:

  We’re now ready to implement the study. At this point in the research process, we’ll conduct a comprehensive literature review that will allow us to advance a theoretical framework to ground the study. This customized framework will be used to outline a data collection scheme.

• Analysis and Interpretation:

  Data is just that “data” until analyzed by the researcher to provide the organization with meaningful information. Currently available and/or collected data will now be analyzed and the results interpreted to answer the research question(s). At this point, we’ll also be able to determine whether we’ve proven our hypothesis.

• Reporting:

  We will develop a comprehensive written report of our analysis and interpretations of our findings. This report is essential to your organization in establishing the desired knowledge base. The report will also identify limitations of the study and make recommendations for future research.

• Application:

  Modern organizations conduct business in an evidence-based society, where decisions are made utilizing information derived from data. As such, we will provide on-going consulting services to ensure that the newly discovered knowledge, becomes best practices within the organization.
